MICRONEEDLING
Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure using a pen or roller with fine needles to cause injury to the skin. This will, in turn, stimulate the skin to produce collagen and elastin as part of the healing process.
A topical anesthetic is applied to the skin prior to this treatment. This treatment improves conditions such as skin texture, skin tone, hyperpigmentation, scarring, and acne. It also promotes smoother skin to improve the appearance of wrinkles.
Multiple treatments are recommended for ideal results (at least 3-4 times a year).
Added treatments incorporated into microneedling include PRP (platelet-rich plasma) and PRX (a topical biostimulator) to enhance the final results.
